Welcome to our new team member, Amanda Atkinson SocLC

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new member of the team. Amanda has worked within the legal profession since leaving school in 1991. Originally from the North East of England, Amanda’s career started in Durham City where she progressed from an administration role through to a conveyancing assistant before relocating to St Neots in 2011. Amanda then worked for a leading law firm in Cambridge where she assisted fee earners, including the Head of Department, with the day to day running of conveyancing transactions. Having placed her studies on hold early in her career to care for her young family, Amanda returned to her studies to qualify as a Licensed Conveyancer which she undertook alongside working full-time.

Following completion of her studies, Amanda then moved to Adlams LLP in St Neots, qualifying as a Licensed Conveyancer in 2019. Since qualifying Amanda has specialised in residential conveyancing for both freehold and leasehold property, as well as mortgages and transfers of equity.

Amanda joined Vanessa Newman Property Lawyers in January 2021 and is passionate about providing clients with a positive experience, keeping them up to date and providing clear explanations where required. Amanda understands the importance of a transaction to each individual client and believes that good communication is key to the smooth running of a transaction, not just with the client, but also with estate agents and other professionals within the chain.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys visiting her family back in Durham, spending time with her husband, son and Labrador Jack, cross-stitch, reading and listening to music.
